Welcome to The Priseman Seabrook Collections, established by English artist Robert Priseman and Ally Seabrook in 2014. The collections hold over 400 works of art & are formed into three categories – 21st Century British Painting, British Prints, Drawings and Photographs and Contemporary Chinese Works on Paper.
With a focus on painting and drawing made by hand, the collections are accompanied by a range of essays and over 60 interviews with featured artists.
Each collection has grown through direct working and personal relationships with many of the artists and been enabled by painting swaps, donations and occasional purchases. It contains work of international significance by leading artists including Tracey Emin, David Hockney, European Sovereign Painters Prize winner Susan Gunn, 54th Venice Biennale exhibitor Marguerite Horner, East London Painting Prize winner Nathan Eastwood, John Moores Prize winner Nicholas Middleton, Academy awardee James Quin, Griffin Art Prize exhibitor Matthew Krishanu, Contemporary British Painting Prize winners Cathy Lomax (2016) Narbi Price (2017) and Lesley Bunch (2022), Maria Chevska, Peter Blake, Alan Davie, Lucian Freud, Elisabeth Frink, Paul Nash, John Piper, Eric Ravilious and Graham Sutherland.
We especially welcome engagement requests from Universities, art schools, art museums and not-for-profit galleries.
We make occasional art donations to museums and have to date gifted over 100 works to art galleries internationally including:
The Yale Centre for British Art (15 works), The National Museum of Poland, The China Academy of Fine Art, Hangzhou (7 Works), The Tianjin Academy of Fine Art (13 works), Yantai Art Museum, University of Arizona Museum of Art, Swindon Art Gallery and Museum (40 works), Rugby Art Gallery and Museum (8 works), Abbot Hall Art Gallery and Falmouth Art Gallery (20 works).
